Therapeutic Arts Trip

Each year, Global Alliance for Africa escorts a group ranging from 10-18 people to East Africa for what is known as a therapeutics art trip.  During the approximately two-week trip, participants visit GAA art programs and art partners in both rural and urban settings.  Travelers become acquainted with our African artist partners and work alongside them to conduct workshops and skill shares for individuals working with vulnerable children and youth. The trip includes a safari as well as a variety of cultural activities.

The Kilimanjaro Climb

The Kilimanjaro Climb is a unique fund-raising event for the benefit of African children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. From six to fourteen individuals climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to earn donations from sponsors recruited by each climber.  Certain to be a life alterning experience, the trip is designed to acquaint the group with Global Alliance for Africa’s unique and integrated approach to providing assistance for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa.  You will have the opportunity to visit Global Alliance programs as well as see Africa from the roof of the world!

Customized Educational Trips

Our trips are designed and customized to meet the interests and needs of each group, and always include an educational component of development work, as well as visits to our local African partners with whom we work to sustainably support for orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa.
