Global Alliance for Africa introduces
our first Professional Photography Safari - a new fund-raising effort
for children orphaned by AIDS in East Africa. The excursion was created
by a photography enthusiast and will introduce the wondrous African
wildlife and gracious nature of the African people to those
adventuresome enough to come along.
Chris Milne, a renowned Wild Life Photographer and
instructor (http://www.chrismilne.co.uk/),
will join the safari to mentor the group on the “How Tos” of capturing
once in a lifetime photographs.
Imagine 14 days in the breathtaking
beauty of East Africa! Your safari begins in The Ngorongoro Crater, the
world’s largest unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. Besides playing
host to the “big-five” of rhinoceros, lion, leopard, elephant and
buffalo, you’ll find almost every individual species of wildlife that
East Africa has to offer.
Moving on to The Serengeti National
Park, where looking for the ever-elusive leopard and witnessing the
thunderous theater of the million-strong wildebeest migration provides
untold excitement; the Serengeti is the best known wildlife sanctuary in
the world with the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa.
Cap off your safari at Lake Victoria,
the world’s second largest freshwater lake, where you can fish from the
beach for tilapia, boat to catch nile perch or wander the Speke Bay
Lodge’s 100 hectares of savannah, ticking off the many species on your
bird-watching list.
End this amazing excursion with 3 days
at one of the world’s finest small luxury hotels, the Zanzibar Serena
Inn, located on the western side of Zanzibar Island. A magical blend of
Arabia and Africa, while relaxing in Zanzibar you can spend your time
at the beach, touring spice plantations, shopping… or catching the
sunset from the hotel’s terrace while being serenaded by a small local
orchestra.
