About Global Alliance for Africa

Global Alliance for Africa (GAA) is a 501c(3) organization headquartered in Chicago, Illinois with offices in Nairobi, Kenya; Arusha, Tanzania and Monrovia Liberia.

Our mission is to provide care and support for orphans and vulnerable children who have been affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa.

We do so by partnering with African NGOs, faith-based organizations, and local women's co-operatives to design and implement innovative small business development and micro-enterprise initiatives with the goal of enabling families and communities to provide sustainable care and support for these orphans on their own.

Our approach helps households and communities to build the capacities to provide children with shelter, education, health care, food security, psycho-social support and legal representation.

We also provide educational opportunities through vocational training and scholarship programs so that orphans between the ages of 17-23 can find jobs in the formal sector of the economy.

My personal message:

Park Ridge Cares working with Global Alliance for Africa continues to raise money to support the library in Kibosho, Tanzania. Kibosho is a rural community at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro in NE Tanzania. The library will serve seven schools in the region. It will be the only building in the community that has electricity and access to the internet. It clearly will make a huge difference in the lives of the students of Kibosho who are so eager to learn, just like kids everywhere, but until now they have not had the resourses.
Your one time gift, or better yet your recurring gift (monthly) will directly impact the lives of these wonderful children. Global Alliance for Africa is a (501)c(3) non profit which means that your donation is 100% tax deductable.
