  Hospitality & Toursim training

Global Alliance for Africa is presently planning the construction of a new Hospitality and Tourism Services Training Institute for orphans and vulnerable youth in Tanzania.  The institute will provide training in hotel management, cooking, and tourism services in order to meet the projected 42% increase in tourism and hospitality services needed in Tanzania over the next five years as identified by market surveys conducted by the hospitality and travel industry in East Africa.

The proposed location of the Hospitality & Tourism Training Institute is an acre plot in Arusha, near one of the major roads.  Most importantly, the facility will be in close proximity to the burgeoning tourist industry situated in Arusha, which is the arrival and departure point for people visiting major tourist sites in Tanzania, including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, and many others.

Hospitality and Tourism courses will be offered at the new training institute to orphans and vulnerable youth in the greater Arusha area, as well as those qualified applicants from more remote areas of Tanzania.  It is anticipated that approximately 90 students will graduate from the institute every two years, with full certification from the Vocational Education and Training Authoriy (VETA) of the Tanzanian government.
